Debut 10 track full-length from London’s Caged Animal whose sound reminds me a lot of the uptempo punk of the Miscalculations with driving melodic guitars and Marcos sneering, apathetic vocals that carve out each song. There are flashes of a couple of Marcos other bands, namely the Exit and Saccharine Souvenirs that help showcase Caged Animal’s diverse palate including an affinity for traditional post punk and new wave sounds. A solid album here that’ll sit nicely next to your Miscalculations LP’s.
